In a world full of advertising, social media, streaming platforms, and the accessibility of technology - media is everywhere we look, and it’s constantly feeding us information whether we know it or not. However, simultaneously, we’re also sending messages out into the world every time we send out a tweet, post a photo, or meme. Media literacy is a two-way street, and in this workshop, we’ll cover how to navigate through the noise to find reliable information, as well as what responsibility you may have as a producer. … And yes, even on social media.
