Focus on Downtown Photo Contest 2024

Our Downtown Fresno Photo Contest is back for 2024!

Focus on Downtown is a photo contest for those who want to share their love of downtown. We want to see downtown through your lens.

Submissions are open from May 17 - June 16 at 11:59pm.

In this contest, there are 5 categories and you can submit three (3) photos per category.

 The photos must be taken within the "downtown triangle" between highways 41, 180, and 99, focusing on downtown :) We do ask that photos be taken within the last year. Plus, there will be so many reasons and opportunities to bring your cameras out to downtown until June 16!

One winner will be selected per category. Winners will have their photos printed and displayed at Tioga Beer Garden for the month of July, including ArtHop, then the printed photo is yours to keep! 

The categories are:

• Architecture: Capture the man-made and natural beauty of downtown from its buildings to its parks and plazas. You know what it is. 
• Food and Drink: Highlight all that is tasty in downtown! From bars and restaurants to street vendors and coffee shops, we want to see your food pics. With over 50 restaurants and bars and The Market on Kern, there is no shortage of options. 
• Events and Culture: Downtown is known for its events like ArtHop and Cruise Nights, but you can take a deeper dive with culture too. There is thrift and fashion culture with all the thrift, boutique, and retail stores here. Check out the art culture at Gallery Row, Arte Americas and Broadway Art Studios. The music culture is all over downtown with Jazz Tuesdays at The Fulton, plus constant shows at Fulton 55 and all over Brewery District. The office culture is real here too Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. Show us what events and culture mean to you in downtown. 
• Pets & Animals: Got any pictures of birds flying over downtown? Do you bring your pets to all the Downtown functions? Then you are ready to submit in this category. 
• Black & White: This category can be any picture of downtown. It might not fit in the other categories or you just might prefer your pictures more in black and white. There is something special about them, isn't there?

The deadline to submit is June 16, at 11:59pm through the form below. Photos must be under 100mb and submitted in JPEG format only. At the time of submission, photos must be titled with your last name and category (ex. Smith_FoodandDrink).

So dust off your DSLR, mirrorless, iphone, android, film or whatever cameras you shoot with, and show us what you got!
