Come to a reading and book signing from acclaimed author Suzanne Roberts. This event will be on the outside stage at Shepherd's Inn across from the Amtrak Station. Joining Suzanne is Lisa Lee Herrick.

Suzanne Roberts is the author of Animal Bodies: On Death, Desire, and Other Difficulties (2022), Bad Tourist: Misadventures in Love and Travel (2020), Almost Somewhere: Twenty-Eight Days on the John Muir Trail (2012), and four collections of poetry. Named “The Next Great Travel Writer” by National Geographic’s Traveler, Suzanne’s work has been published in The New York Times, CNN, Creative Nonfiction, Brevity, The Normal School, The Rumpus, and elsewhere. Suzanne holds a doctorate in Literature and the Environment, teaches for the low residency MFA program at UNR-Tahoe, and lives in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Lisa Lee Herrick is a Hmong American writer based in Fresno. Her creative nonfiction was notable in the Best American Essays (2020; 2021) and Best American Food Writing 2020. She was awarded a PEN America Emerging and was a finalist for the Restless Books Prize for New Immigrant Writing 2021. She currently serves as Editor-at-Large for Hyphen magazine and is also a regular contributor to The Rumpus, Emergence Magazine, and advises nonprofit arts & public broadcasting organizations in media strategy and community outreach
