The Latino Caucus is proud to conduct its 1st Central Valley “Call to Action” event, it is important to us to use Cinco de Mayo to come together for a conversation about core principles and to assess the state of Latinos in California. This event will include a screening of the documentary Waking Dream: Young. Undocumented. Future unknown. by Theo Ridgby. This film on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) follows the lives of a series of California DACA students. DACA has been an important issue to the LCCLC and we are delighted to have the opportunity to preview this film and bring this topic forward as a call to action this Cinco de Mayo.
