This is the first of a 4-part workshop series on learning the skills needed to become a citizen journalist!

In this introductory course, attendees will be introduced to the basics of journalism, what to plan for when producing a news segment, types of questions to be asked when covering a story and more. Then, attendees will get some hands-on training with video production equipment.

No prior production experience needed! Those new to video are welcome.

Please note in order to obtain a certificate of completion, participants must attend all 4 sessions. Attendees who miss the first 2 sessions will not be permitted to take part in the remaining sessions.
