Board of Directors Meeting:

Meets 4th Tuesday of each month, 5:30 p.m. at the Downtown Club (2120 Kern Street)

There are four committees of the Downtown Association of Fresno:  Urban Beautification, Business Growth and Development, Special Events and Marketing.  These committees meet monthly. New volunteers and expertise are always welcome.  If you are interested and committed to the continued revitalization of Downtown Fresno, the Downtown Association of Fresno welcomes you to any of our meetings where we energize our efforts to make Downtown Fresno a fun and exciting place for all.  

Urban Beautification

From flower plantings, to art restoration, to storefront improvements, to issues of safety, Urban Beautification seeks to improve the physical appearance of Downtown. Activities include tree and flower planting and maintenance, banners and business signage, Mall and artwork maintenance.

Committee meets the 1st Wednesday of each month,  1:00 pm, Tommy's Restaurant (944 Fulton Mall)

Business Growth

Our Business Growth committee provides strong merchant support, a business directory and dining guide, facilitation and funding of Caltrans highway signage, maintenance and expansion of kiosk information, advocacy for effective parking management,  as well as support for and integration of PBID into the Downtown Assn.

Committee meets the 2nd Thursday of each month, 1:00 pm, Kebab Express (2139 Kern Street)

Special Events

The Downtown Association is known for hosting exciting events that bring new people to Downtown Fresno and raise money to support other Downtown Association activities. Events include the State of Downtown Breakfast, Sudz in the City, Cinco de Mayo, El Grito, Fiestas Patrias, RevFest, Taste of Armenia, ArtHop, Halloween Happens Downtown and Winter Wonderland.

Committee meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month, 12:00 noon, Downtown Association office (845 Fulton Mall)

Marketing

Responsible for sustained efforts to improve the public image of the Fulton Mall and Downtown Fresno, Marketing covers a comprehensive and ongoing Downtown branding campaign, small-scale events such as the successful Market on the Mall, business promotions like Restaurant of the Week and oversight of Downtown Association newsletters, website, press outreach and social networking.

Committee meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month, 6:00 pm, at Austin's Downtown Bar and Grill (820 Van Ness)
