Getting the whole family involved with healthy meals is Timaree Hagenburger’s (a.k.a. The Nutrition Professor) mission. Sometimes it’s difficult for people who cook for their kids or even for their aging parents to get their family’s support and cooperation. Timaree will be in Fresno for a free cooking demonstration and talk. She’ll even have her kids with her to show how to make nutritious food fun for the whole family.
Timaree is the real deal. She is a Registered Dietitian, with a Master’s Degree in Public Health, a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. She hosts regular segments on the California Farm Bureau’s show California Bountiful, which airs locally on KVPT channel 18 at 11:30 on Sundays. She is a recognized speaker at national conferences on food and nutrition. She is the cookbook author of the The Foodie Bar Way: One Meal, Lots of Options, Everyone’s Happy . She is a full-time nutrition professor at Cosumnes River College with the Plant-Based Nutrition & Sustainable Agriculture certificate program. She is also a regular guest on Cardiologist and Iron Man Triathlete Dr. Jami Dulaney’s popular podcast.
