Since 2013, Dulce UpFront has produced over 50 multi-media arts events, collaborated with dozens of groups, and highlighted the talent of hundred’s of artists.

Learn the quick and dirty on how to produce your own events wether your on a shoe string budget or rollin in dough. This day-long intensive is facilitated by Ome Quetzal Lopez of Dulce UpFront.

This crash course is good for anyone interested in producing club nights, fundraisers, festivals, community events, back yard boogies and even artists needing to produce their own shows in order to be seen. If you have produced events in the past, this crash course will add more tools to your belt.

Ome Quetzal Lopez (DJ/Emcee/Event Producer/Change Maker) Ome has produced events for over 25 years from underground house music events to multi-cultural Festivals. Coming from an Art-Activist family background, prior to going full force in supporting the building of community through arts and culture, Ome worked tirelessly creating and implementing youth-leadership development programs. Ome is also a state-wide DJ/Emcee. Ome is a member of two event production crews, Dulce UpFront and WERQ and also serves as a consultant for organizations utilizing event production to engage community.

Dulce UpFront
Dulce UpFront produces multi-generational, multimedia arts & culture events. We work in collaboration with event producers, organizations, businesses, institutions, touring artists from throughout the nation. Annually our events provide space for over a hundred performers reaching thousands of participants of varying ages and cultural backgrounds. Our aim has been to create visually rich multimedia events that celebrate life through culture while at the same time highlighting social/political issues. Intentionally making these issues digestible are key in gaining a broader community understanding.
