The City of Fresno offers a proactive program to help local businesses take steps toward accessibility compliance, even before opening their doors to the public. Learn about workshops, free CASp inspections, and other forms of financial assistance available to ensure that small businesses meet ADA requirements without much difficulty or expense.

Shannon M. Mulhall, NIC, ACTCP, is the Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator for the City of Fresno and a certified sign language interpreter. Mulhall approaches all aspects of accessibility with an encouraging education focus and an emphasis on the positive role everyone can play in providing equal opportunities to all members of the public. She is keenly interested in exploring ways to expand community outreach, website/technology accessibility, whole community preparedness, and effective communication. Mulhall actively serves the community in a variety of ways participating on the Health Net State Wide Public Policy Committee, Community of Practice for Person Centered Planning, State Center Community College District Disabled Students Services Advisory Council, and Fresno County Voter Accessibility Advisory Committee.
Rachelle T. Golden handles labor and employment law and litigation. She defends employers before state, federal, and administrative agencies and provides counsel regarding all aspects of human resource issues and compliance to help clients avoid penalties and litigation. Rachelle also has extensive experience consulting with private and public entities in proactive ADA compliance, which includes creating policies and procedures that comply with Federal and State Laws. Rachelle has a successful track record defending clients against lawsuits relating to all aspects of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
